Emilee Young, ENP

Nurse Practitioner

Mrs. Emilee C. Young-Camp grew up in Bernie, Missouri; parents the late Robert Lee Young Jr. and Kimbrala Hester Young where her family farmed in the Southeast Missouri region and graduated as valedictorian of her class in 1999; she shadowed the local hometown physician Dr. Neal Garner D.O. in Bernie, MO. She then went on to college at Jonesboro, AR attending ASU; where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with RN. Upon working full time, she did an internship at the MED in Memphis Trauma Intensive Care Unit and then worked at St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. Mrs. Young then went on to obtain her Master's Degree in Nursing with her Family Nurse Practitioner. While doing so, she was a professor at ASU teaching LPN's to RN's and did clinical rounds at various hospitals and nursing homes in Northeast Arkansas with her students.
Upon finishing her Master's Degree in 2007, Mrs. Young was recruited by a contracting physician group- Schumacher to North Mississippi Medical Center: A level II Trauma Center in Tupelo, MS with a 58 bed Emergency Department until 2010. She also worked part time for Baptist North Mississippi in Oxford Emergency Department and later became full time working there for 13 years. She helped start the NP midlevel program in New Albany Baptist Union County Emergency Department in 2011. She also rounds at Union County Jail in New Albany since 2018.
Mrs. Emilee met her husband while living in Tupelo and after dating for 2 years got married where they now reside in Dumas. Her husband is a native of Dumas, MS; Brian Lee Camp; he is a row crop farmer of soybeans. Emilee and her husband both love being outside, spending time with family, working on the farm, and playing with their dogs Bubba and Stetson.
Mrs. Young-Camp has had over 20 years of experience in the medical field and was called into medicine after watching her grandfather Robert Young, Sr. in eighth grade pass away from lymphoma cancer.
She loves the people in Tippah County and it brings her joy to help her community. She is grateful to be here at Tippah County Hospital where she can help friends and family get better and stay healthy.
